Step 4 – Remove the leaves from the stem which will most likely be under water when placed in the vase. What tends to happen when leave are left under water for long periods of time is that they will start to rot or decay which will eventually infect the flowers.

Step 7 – Take daily care of your flowers by removing wilted flowers so they want contaminate the others. You should also change the water daily but don’t worry if you forget. Every second or third day will be fine. Just make sure when you change the water that you add the flower food as well. It’s also a good idea to re-cut the stems the fresh water absorption surface.
